Tristan Zimmermann (established1979) studied industrial design at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto Canada. Upon graduation in 2004 Tristan assumed the position of senior product designer at an international bio-medical device company. This went on for some time until a dire case creative atrophy took hold of him. During this desperate period he would regularily show up to work wearing nothing but tin foil and spend his days playing chess with the photocopier, the only co-worker that he felt understood him.

Through his pursuit for recovery Tristan formed Science and Sons in 2005, as a side venture to sate his own creative musings. Science and Sons has since remained the masthead under which the eccentric miscellany of his creative acumen is codified into a palatable format.

The work of Science and Sons aims to elegantly distort and deify the status quo, while indulging the overlooked, broken and forgotten. Tristan currently lives with his wife and their dog in Toronto, Canada
